CNC Milling Programmers

NYLACAST is a Leicester based manufacturing company that was founded in 1967 and we pride ourselves on being able to provide the customer with a complete Engineering Plastic Solution. The versatility of components from NYLACAST sees them used in many diverse applications within industries including Construction, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Rail, Water Treatment and Automotive.  

NYLACAST is looking to recruit experienced CNC Programmers to strengthen our team within our Manufacturing Division.

The Role:

You will join a team of talented CNC setters and programmers.

Being site based at our CNC Milling Dept, 107 St Barnabas Road, Leicester, you will work a Double Day Shift (06:00am - 2:00pm & 2.00pm - 10:00pm) Monday to Friday, rotating weekly.

Using your superb CNC programming knowledge, you will work with essentially Heidenhaim equipment.

Candidate Requirements:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF PROGRAMMING IN HEIDENHAIM

Must have worked in a CNC Milling environment for at least two years

Be able to complete small batch/technical work

Have the ability to read technical drawings

Set Machines using existing programs to produce "First Off" components.             

Experienced 4 & 5 Axis preferred

Being site based at our Head office, 200 Hastings Road, Leicester, you will work a Double Day Shift (06:00am - 2:00pm & 2.00pm - 10:00pm) Monday to Friday, rotating weekly.

Using your superb CNC programming knowledge, you will work with essentially Fanuc equipment.

Candidate Requirements:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF PROGRAMMING IN FANUC

Must have worked in a CNC Turning environment for at least two years

Be able to complete small batch/technical work

Have the ability to read technical drawings

Set Machines using existing programs to produce "First Off" components.

Production Administrator

 (Ref No: 2010/07)

 

The successful applicant will report directly to the Production Manager/ Supervisors

 

 

Job Purpose: To provide office support to the Production Supervisors and Manager to ensure the effective day to day running of the both the Milling & Turning Departments.

The main duties will be to:

  • Updating  spreadsheets on a daily basis
  • Accurately book in Job Cards
  • Sort Material with Pick Notes & Job Cards
  • Assist with ISO paperwork and all other related quality issues
  • Complete all setting sheets
  • Sort inspection work including labels, box sizes, signatures & palletizing
  • General Administration - Filing, Printing Labels.
  • Handle a fast paced environment

The ideal applicant must:

 

  • Have at least one years experience in a similar role
  • Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • To have effective written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail is essential.
  • Proven ability to work well with others, be self-motivated, multi-task and prioritize daily and work well under pressure.
  • Exposure to an ERP system would be helpful but not essential
  • Have A Full UK Driving Licence and be prepared to travel across our Leicester Sites.
  • Be flexible and responsive in support of the business needs

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 hours, with a 60-minute daily break, these hours will be split across both of our Manufacturing Departments which are based in Leicester.

Please note that this position is on a temp to perm basis, three months temporary and then if successful; a permanent position will be offered.

Night Shift Team Leader

The successful applicant will report directly to the Turning Supervisor

The main duties will be:

  • To ensure the department is run efficiently and effectively
  • Overall responsibility for aspects of production on their shift
  • Programme, Set, & Run production Machines
  • To adhere and upkeep the Health & Safety and Human Resources policies and procedures within the department
  • To recognise where training is required within their team and train staff accordingly

The successful applicant must:

  • Be a strong leader with experience of managing a team
  • Have excellent communication, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Be an experienced CNC lathe setter / programmer and preferably with experience of Fanuc programming controls
  • Be PC literate, ideally with Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrate flexibility within the role

Hours of work will be 10pm to 6am, Monday to Friday

Customer Order Processing Advisor

 (Ref No: 2010/07)

Job Purpose: To provide a superior customer service to all our customers ensuring their orders are managed, delivered on time. As the first contact point for after sales and related enquires, you will need to be on the ball and organised. Your attention to detail and project co-ordination skills will be invaluable as you progress chase and keep on top of any requirements your customers may have. They will rely on you to ensure they have products on time, every time, as ordered and invoiced correctly.

The main duties will be to:

  • To be responsible for ensuring orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To manage the order book and proactively inform customers if it appears that the acknowledged date is not going to be met.
  • Attend the daily Production Meeting and highlight any unforeseen problems that have arisen from the customer and rectify problems
  • Work closely with our Quality and Despatch departments to ensure that order is being successfully prioritised. 
  • Able to handle a fast paced environment and work well under pressure
  • To be critical a link between Sales, Production and all the other relevant departments

The ideal applicant must:

 

  • Have at least one years experience in a similar customer service role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • You must have the ability to communicate professionally at all levels and resolve customer queries over the phone with 100% satisfaction, with a fast and accurate manner.
  • Have excellent customer Service skills and proven ability to work well with others, be self-motivated, multi-task and prioritize daily.
  • Exposure to an ERP system would be helpful but not essential
  • Have A Full UK Driving Licence and be prepared to travel across our Leicester Sites.
  • Be flexible and responsive in support of the business needs
